About this project

bitrefill.coupons is an independent editorial site about spending cryptocurrency on gift cards, mobile top-ups and prepaid services. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Bitrefill.

Why it exists

Because the search results for this topic are among the worst on the open web. Ask a straightforward question — is there a working coupon code, which network should I pay on, will this Steam card work on my account — and you get pages of invented code lists, referral links disguised as discounts, and content that was clearly written by someone who has never sent a transaction in their life.

The people writing here have been buying things with crypto since it was inconvenient and slightly embarrassing. We have paid too much in miner fees, bought a card for the wrong region, and watched a payment miss a rate window. The guides on this site are largely a record of those mistakes, written so that other people can skip them.

How we research

Every specific factual claim — a fee, a supported coin, a country count, a programme mechanic — is checked against the official Bitrefill website and cited on the page where it appears. When something is a matter of policy that changes frequently, we say so and tell you to verify it yourself rather than pretending a snapshot is permanent.

Where we express an opinion, it is labelled as one. The review carries a numeric rating, and the reasoning behind each component of that rating is written out so you can disagree with it on the evidence rather than on trust.

What we do not do

  • Publish coupon codes we have not verified, or pad a list with strings that fail at checkout.
  • Encourage trading, predict prices, or suggest that any of this is a way to make money.
  • Ask for wallet connections, seed phrases, private keys, or any credential of any kind.
  • Operate a login, hold funds, sell gift cards, or process a payment. There is nothing here to buy.

How the site pays for itself

Some outbound links to third-party services are commercial. If you use one, this site may receive a commission at no additional cost to you, and every such link carries a nofollow attribute. Those links do not buy editorial coverage, they do not influence a rating, and they do not change what we write about anything — including the platforms we criticise.

The simplest way to hold us to that is to read the parts of the guides where we tell you not to spend money: the sections on when paying by card is the better choice, when buying directly from a retailer is cheaper, and why most "free gift card" offers are theft.

Corrections

Product availability, fees and policies in this industry change constantly, and some of what is written here will go stale. If you find something wrong — factually wrong, not merely something you disagree with — write to contact@bitrefill.coupons with a link to the source. Corrections get made and the page's update date changes.
